韓国の現代自動車は、エコカーと二酸化炭素排出削減のため、2013年までに4兆1000億ウォン（33億ドル）を投資する方針を明らかにした。

Hyundai to invest 4.1 trillion won for environmentally friendly cars and emission requirements

Hyundai Motor Group said it would invest 4.1 trillion won ($3.3 billion) in green projects to meet the government's stricter fuel efficiency and emission requirements by 2013.

これより先、サムスン電子は、環境関連の研究開発（R&D）と設備向けに、5兆4000億ウォンを投資すると発表している。

Hyundai's announcement came after Samsung Electronics Co Ltd earlier this week unveiled a plan to invest 5.4 trillion won in green research and development and facilities.
