米エネルギー省エネルギー情報局（EIA）は27日公表した2009年版の世界エネルギー見通しのなかで、世界のエネルギー需要は、2030年には2006年水準から44％増加すると予測した。
EIAは、増加分の約75％は、ブラジル、ロシア、中国、インドなどの新興国での増加となるとしている。

Global energy demand is expected to soar 44 percent over by 2030 from the level of 2006, the U.S. Energy Department's Energy Information Administration (EIA) said in the 2009 world energy forecast on 27th.
Almost 75 percent of the rise in global energy demand through 2030 will occur in developing countries, particularly Brazil, Russia, China and India, EIA said.

EIAは、世界的な景気の低迷でエネルギー消費が減少したものの、2010年には景気は回復すると予測されるため、需要も回復しエネルギー価格も上昇する可能性があると指摘。米市場の原油価格は、2009年の予測平均である1バレル＝61ドルから、2015年には110ドル、2030年には130ドルに上昇すると予測した。
世界の原油需要は2009年の日量約8400万バレルから、今後20年間で日量1億700万バレルに増加すると予測した。

The worldwide economic downturn has hit energy consumption, but an expected recovery next year could re-spark demand and boost prices, EIA said.U.S. oil prices are forecast to rise from an average $61 barrel this year to $110 in 2015 and $130 in 2030.
Global oil demand is expected to rise to 107 million barrels per day over the next two decades from nearly 84 million barrels per day of the year 2009.

また、2030年までには、世界の全エネルギー供給に原油が占める割合は32％と、2006年時点の36％から低下すると予測。太陽光や風力などの再生可能エネルギーが占める割合は急速に伸び、11％になると予測した。
植物由来のバイオエタノールなどのバイオ燃料の供給は、2030年までに日量590万バレルに達すると予測した。

Oil will account for 32 percent of the world's energy supply by 2030 from about 36 percent in 2006. Renewable energy, like wind and solar power, will be the fastest growing energy source, making up 11 percent.
Supply of bio-fuels, including plant-derived bio-ethanol, are expected to reach 5.9 million barrels per day by 2030.
