中国国家発展改革委員会（NDRC）は21日、先進国は温暖化ガスの排出量を2010年までに1990年水準から少なくとも40％削減するべきとの提言を公表した。Developed countries should cut greenhouse gas emissions by 40% = China National Development and Reform Commission
Rich nations should cut their greenhouse gas emissions by at least 40 percent by 2020 from 1990 levels, China National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said on 21th.
NDRCはまた、先進国は国内総生産の0.5-1.0％を、途上国の温暖化対策や温暖化ガス排出量削減策の支援に拠出するべきだとも提言した。

国連気候変動枠組み条約（UNFCCC）締約国は現在、2012年に期限を迎える「京都議定書」に続く新たな国際的な温暖化ガス削減目標を協議中で、12月にコペンハーゲンで開催する会合で合意に持ち込みたい考え。NDRCの提言はこうした交渉に向けた中国政府の立場を示したもの。
