ケビン･ラッド首相、二酸化炭素（CO2）回収･貯留の国際的取り組み機関（GCCSI）の発足を発表

新しい気候変動対策として注目されている、二酸化炭素の回収･貯留に関する国際的な取り組みがオーストラリア政府主導のもと、GCCSI（Global Carbon Capture and Storage Institute）として2009年7月1日に発足します。4月16日にはGCCSIの拠点となるキャンベラで創立会合が開催され、日本からも日本政府を始めとした13機関が創立メンバーとして参加しました。詳しくはこちら（英語）をご覧下さい。
