米自動車大手ゼネラル・モーターズ（GM）は、新たなハイブリッド車3モデルの開発支援として、政府に26億ドル規模の低利融資を要請した。1日に公表されたGM再建計画の修正案で明らかになった。GM asks for $26 billion of loans to develop hybrid vehicles
US car giant General Motors (GM) has asked for $26 billion of low interest government loans to support the development of three new hybrid vehicles, according to a business plan update released on 1st.
今回の支援要請は、環境対応車の開発を支援する米エネルギー省のプログラムに基づき行われた。同プログラムに基づくGMの支援要請は3度目で、実現すれば103億ドルを調達することになる。
GMによると、融資要請は30日、財務省に行われた。
The aid is seeking under a US Energy Department program to support development of eco-friendly vehicles. It was GM's third request for loans under the program. If it is possible, it will raise to $103 billion.
GM said that the request for loans was made on 30th to the Treasury Department.
