ノーベル平和賞受賞者で元米副大統領のアル・ゴア氏が、地球温暖化に警鐘を鳴らしたベストセラー「不都合な真実」に続く新作本を11月3日に出版する。

Mr.Gore to release a new book follows on "An Inconvenient Truth"

A Nobel Peace prize winner and former Vice President Al Gore will release a new book on November 3rd. The book is a follow up to the best-selling book "An Inconvenient Truth" which sounded alarm on global warming.

同氏と出版元のロデールが24日明らかにしたところによると、新作のタイトルは「Our Choice（原題）」になる予定で、地球温暖化の解決策について説明した内容になるという。

同氏は「『不都合な真実』では地球温暖化が人類文明の未来を脅かし、それ（地球温暖化）は解決すべきあり、解決できるというメッセージが何百万人もの人々に届いた」とコメント。

Mr. Gore and Rodale the publisher said on 24th, the new title will be "Our Choice" to describe the solutions to global warming.

Said Mr.Gore "An Inconvenient Truth reached millions of people with the message that the climate crisis is threatening the future of human civilization and that it must and can be solved."

その上で、今は地球温暖化を実際に解決するための包括的な世界的計画を実施するときであり、「Our Choice」がその答えになると説明した。

また、ゴア氏は今回の新作本の収益金は、環境保護団体Alliance for Climate Protectionに全額寄付する予定だとしている。

He also explained now is the time for a comprehensive global plan that actually solves the climate crisis and Our Choice will be the answer of that call.

In addition, Mr.Gore will donate 100% of the proceeds of this new book to the Environmental protection group "Alliance for Climate Protection".
